The beautiful poster advertises fish in general without naming a specific brand. This was typical for the time, because the focus of the promoting was the domestic market as a whole rather than a specific company. The advertising poster was created by commercial artist Walter Riemer for the art manufacturer Hollerbaum & Schmidt in Berlin. Hollerbaum & Schmidt was one of the first German companies that created advertisement posters geared to the customers' product. Before that blank posters were used that weren’t related to the advertised goods.
