This masterpiece was created in 1895 and is titled Incandescenza, Italian for Glow. It promotes a gas lamp company from Brussels that now goes for the Italian market.
Judging from the happy face of the depicted girl, the gas lamps must be the best in their field. That she’s naked proves how warm she is kept by the bright shine that muffles her fine-boned body.
